Elm Tree Lodge Beechworth Information
William Turner, a local jeweler, built the 5 room double brick Elm Tree Lodge. In 1890, he added a large living area, en suite master bedroom, and bathrooms.
The layout remained largely unchanged for the past 130 years, despite some minor changes (a little pine crime in 1970).
The house sits on two-thirds of an acre and faces Loch St. It features an old corrugated metal shed from the 1910-20s as well as a cart/carriage building dating back to before 1875.
Elm Tree Lodge was renovated in 2018. A large, modern open-plan lounge, dining room, and kitchen were added, as well as new bathrooms, renovated ensuites, and an external spa for 5-6 people.
Over 400 new trees/bushes have been planted in the gardens, and over 1600sqm has been laid/grown of grass, as well as over 30 meters of raised beds for kitchen garden.
The home sleeps 10 people and is great for two to four couples or two families.
